About Heartfelt

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers are educational programs for young children.  In addition to our tuition based education programs, we also partner with Michigan Department of Education to provide prekindergarten education through the Great Start Readiness Program.

1. What makes HILC so different than other Early Childhood Programs?

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center not only strives to offer the best childcare and preschool program for our families but also for our employees. Heartfelt is a place where you can come to work and know you are safe and cared about. You are more than just a teacher in our program, you are part of a family that supports each other both professional and personally. Our CORE values exemplify what our program believes is high quality.

2. What type of Professional development do you provide?

Professional development opportunities are one way we provide support for our teachers. We provide opportunities for you to learn and grow professionally with the High Scope curriculum. We also provide onsite coaching and mentoring with our early childhood specialist who is available to all staff regarding the curriculum and best practices for children. Heartfelt provides reflective practice groups for teachers to come together to connect, reflect and support each other in areas they want to grow.

3. When are teachers able to complete their lesson plans?

We provide planning time for our teachers weekly. This ensures teachers can plan developmentally appropriate activities for the children based on their interests.

4. What would my workday look like and how many teachers are in the classroom at a time?

The number of teachers in the classroom is determined by state licensing ratios. We strive to have a consistent schedule for the teachers in each classroom. This provides stability for the teaching staff, children and families.

Employee Testimonial

“As a Heartfelt employee, the passion and dedication I have for this line of work has grown so much over the years, and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be where I am today. Teaching children to learn and grow, and in return receive smiles, hugs, laughs, and unconditional love, is the most rewarding job there is. All the training and learning opportunities that Heartfelt gives, have been endless in supporting and helping me build on my passion. The owners Rhonda and Amy, and my directors Jeni and Kara, have always made me feel completely valued in all I do and say. Working for this company, and the wonderful families, certainly gives off a warmth which can be very hard to find. That’s why I can honestly say that I feel very blessed to be working for Heartfelt Impressions.” – Sharon Spring
